How to Fill the Online Application Form
- Open the official website using the links below. Read the advertisement and any corrigendum before starting. A news report or mirror PDF is not a substitute for the recruiting authority's notice.
- Confirm the advertisement number, selected post and application window. Compare your date of birth, qualifications, experience and category with the conditions for that specific post.
- Create or use One-Time Registration (OTR) on ssc.gov.in. An OTR from the old ssc.nic.in website does not work on the new website. After OTR, sign in and open the CHSL 2026 examination application.
- Enter personal, educational and reservation details exactly as they appear on your certificates. Review any imported details before continuing.
- Capture the live photograph when the application prompts you. Use good lighting and a plain background, keep the camera at eye level, and do not photograph a pre-existing photo. Upload the scanned signature in JPEG/JPG, 10-20 KB, approximately 6 cm by 2 cm. Follow the Aadhaar-authentication and disability-document instructions where applicable.
- Review the application preview, selected post, category and all uploaded files. Correct errors before final submission.
- Pay the applicable fee only through the payment gateway linked from the official form, if a fee is required. Confirm that the transaction and application status are successful.
- Submit the completed form within the official deadline. Download the final application and receipt, and retain the application number for later use.
- Return to the official website for correction notices, admit cards and selection updates. A saved draft, payment receipt alone or opened form does not prove final submission.
Application screens can change. The official portal and latest notice take precedence over this guidance. Never share a password, OTP or payment credentials with a third-party job-information website.
Exam Pattern
Tier-I has four parts: English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. Each has 25 questions for 50 marks. The standard duration is 60 minutes with a 15-minute sectional timer; eligible scribe candidates have the notified extended time. Each wrong answer carries a 0.50-mark deduction. Tier-II has Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge and the post-specific skill/typing test. See the notice for sectional timing and qualifying rules.
Syllabus
Prepare English vocabulary, grammar and comprehension; reasoning and general intelligence; arithmetic and quantitative aptitude; and general awareness. Tier-II also includes computer knowledge. Use the full subject-wise syllabus in the official notification rather than treating this overview as an exhaustive syllabus.
Required Documents
This is a general preparation checklist. Not every document must be uploaded for every application. The exact upload list, format and file size specified in the official form take precedence.
- Recent photo / live photo (as specified by the portal)
- Signature
- Accepted ID proof
- 10th certificate / DOB proof
- Relevant marksheet
- Diploma / degree certificates

The SSC notification contains instructions for OTR, live photographs and signatures. Keep qualification and category proofs ready for verification; do not assume that all are required as initial application uploads.
