IIT Madras has extended the GATE 2027 registration to 5 October 2026 without late fee. Applications with a late fee are open till 12 October 2026. The exam will be held on 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 February 2027.
What Is New in GATE 2027
- Robotics and Automation (RA) is a new test paper.
- Paper codes for XE, XH and XL are changed and syllabi are revised.
- DigiLocker-based registration is mandatory for Indian nationals. Do not delete the DigiLocker account you used.
How to Apply
- Open gate2027.iitm.ac.in and the GOAPS portal.
- Register using DigiLocker.
- Enter personal and academic details, choose paper and exam cities.
- Upload photo, signature and ID proof, pay the fee online and submit.
- Save the confirmation page and payment receipt.
